IMPROVISATION# 173
REVIVING MYSELF
Checking my anchor
at my newly sponged
orange kayak
as a brushing snow falls
rushes with wanton winds
at my back
as a newly formed Northeastern
blizzard with the stain
of black ice on the pavement
calls to visit as highway winds
flailing as we notice
the shadows bullying
and a thundering rain
crushing the shaking earth
as plows on streets
get to know the remains
of the edge of the shore
and a poet watches
his cat purr from the outdoors.
