RESCUE

You rescue
a bog turtle

from Myrtle Beach
who reached out

in a tangle
of fish nets

once with vigor
and vim, now in doubt,

it's a destiny
about like ours

who wish for a sea
journey to swim

as in my diary blog
I've logged in its history

with a whim and witness
on its isle of poetry.
