ENDLESS SILENCE

Endless silence
by the Charles River
except for the March wind
  on the Esplanade
 awakening by the river run
untroubled by the snow flakes
      showing a manifestation
by the one marathon guy
wearing a Greek cap
who tells us spoke to God
afterwards on the Beacon Hilltop
wondering if he had
a one way conversation.
