last chance to survive
on San Francisco streets
as a runaway
from Long Beach
having been fired
even from his teen band
he himself founded,
desperate and unemployed
was at last treated
by reasonable Dr. Freud,
and to the world's shame
became an underground spy
hounded for God's name
in a more than seasonal high.
