in a denial that life
is a vile monster to us
some souls turn to disguise
or wise Jesus or Socrates


what wisdom as words
all freedom lies
from our view of intelligence
to where its resistance dies


we continue our existence
and reason for persistence
living in conspiracies denial
of any season of forgiving.
