GENNADY KANEVSKY'S LOVES

A gentler bath
on a world's shipyard
tuned into
a new millennium
of never heard of
suspended cruises
floating on wishes
as sea voice rise
on splashes of waves
a taut awakening
of a sanguine crew
eating apples
dissolving into stories
from Icelandic voyages
telling of their own myths
on the steel barges
next to a Greek trawler
with a rain's reminder
not to be over confident
along the Volga.
