ELECTIONEERING

They wave
they shout or laugh
about half wave elections
or show a brave face
of an elephant or donkey
and we do not know
about the intrigues
or who is in league
with labor or the conservatives
to honor what keeps or lives
on the other side of the fence
meanwhile we do not want war
but a peace memorial
with an editorial against
any selection of business
or governmental injustice
and for cheaper rents.
