ANDY GOLDSWORTHY

From Scotland
and working in a sand lot
the sculptor
Andy Goldsworthy
hardly sleeps in his career
yet spends hours
as a photographer
(for his inner clock
never stops)
on a heap
of a thousand cold stones
enfolded from caves
of slightly
colored flowers,
in insomniac nights
saving leaves,
mud,pine combs
snow, icicles,twigs, thorns
and twice born petals
wishing as an environmentalist
for fragments to connect
interlock and nurse
amid nocturnal fishing nets
and a hidden proof
that urban settings
are also part of culture
shaping his geometric universe
I'm loving his sculptures
"Three Cairns"
"Roof","Moonlit Path,"
in a perfect math puzzle
from a gearwheel of mesh
in rope,wire,spokes
and nuzzled bones.
