THE MOST MINIMALIST

Adam Saroyan
found as a  most minimalist
the prism of a now ghostly fame,
this Armenian-American
in a frame of reference
now as a biographer,
as a blogger
not boasting of his own name
in a memoir's reverence
from a few lettered free verses
of a heated controversy
in his experimentation
of a better illuminated poetry
hanging out with all ethnics
of freely spirited poets
from Manhattan
in a familial pattern:
Andy Warhol, Ted Berrigan
Lou Reed,Ron Padgett
hearing the musical Fugs
the first underground
rock band
founded by unorthodox poets
into another demographic
of eccentric counter -culture
founded by Tuli Kupferberg
singer, cartoonist in literature
with anarchist,pacifist
Ed Sanders, social activist
a dramatic environmentalist,
Hippie and Beat musicologist
the editor of "Investigative Poetry"
published by "City Light"
with Ken Weaver on drums
at the Le Metro Cafe
all downing some strong coffee
taking their leads and hugs
at the swinging Sixties
Saroyan influenced
by the Dadaists
and Robert Creeley
has some of his minimal ads
in sculptural art pictures
from new fragments of idioms
from summarily recreating
parts of concrete poetry
all in a few estranged prisms
almost in a bird call of song
from a music stand
by in a unique arrangement
of words
like "eyeye" or "lighght"
in a instant of four silent
consonants accrued
in a new musical
enlightened virtuosity
for our universe
of bright luminosity.
