WANTING

Wanting a peaceful day
without interruption
no phone calls, internet
panic headlines ,reality T.V.
in talk of war or corruption
trying to avoid strife
by writing my own lyrical
poetry without regrets
under the birds
sycamore tree
or just playing sax riffs
by walking away
with my musical secrets
as if when a concealed life
sometime unwinds
it must be my living
organically by taking leave
from behind these blinds
revealing words to relax.
