A GARDEN CHAIR

A garden chair
with snow decked over
her with dripping icicles
reminding me of Picasso's
''Nightmare'' in a painting
formed from concentric circles
in an abstract color field
riding my bicycle
in the villages
swiftly behind my fences
with trembling drifts
of shadows in the meadows
once with huge sunflower
now in concealed camouflages
waiting to catch up
for me and to be revealed
from my windows
in the languages of spring.
