A BOY SEEKS NEO REALISM

I would arrive
on my bicycle at noon
 to the Symphony theater
off Massachusetts Avenue
  seeking a neo realist
film or two
buttoning down my collar
to put up my feet and relax
when it was only
two dollars and a tax
to view Fellini's "La Strada''
  or Pasolini's "Teorema"
after having my luncheon meal
   of  veal,cheese and  spaghetti
 at the Newbury Steak house
   with my aunt and uncle
after my violin lesson
with these two musical scholars
on  251 Commonwealth Ave.
 across the street
    here at the matinee cinema
it was a  something else
 for an emerging Beat.
