STUDYING

Studying linguistics
without argument
as words offer me a direction
smooth jazz music plays
from my tenor sax
and a beat poet will relax
from a donor's beach chair
reaching for a brush of paint
giving an artistic perfection
when words,sounds or colors
unite in wonder for selections
to play out in my verse
in an underground universe
to complement each other today
from an enigmatic suspense
from tenses of a periphrastic way.
