after your going out
for another beer
from a sluice
of night air
running out of
at a bar fight
Bukowski's parachutes
to chat in laughter about
his missing connections
in a take-off of flight
as you feel the hand
of unwritten creativity
turning this juiced up poet
into a hissing jazz shadow
of an intoxicated man.
