the ground
spring surfaces
its appearances
in small pathways
the air has
not been milder
during the winter thaw
several trees stare at him
in the maiden grove
he centered the riverbanks
a love note is staring
with its ink just dried
at this silent hemisphere
as a hermetic poet
sees a wild fox
in this hinterland
who has just died.
